This is a Steve (Default player skin) model for minecraft. It's in blender format and comes with the standard single bone arms and legs (no bendy arms). The Rig is ready to animate! There are other steve skins out there, so what makes this one stand out mataphorically from the crowd?.
This character also has the head layers on correctly, if your character skin has a helmet, headphones, hairstyle or other head accessories in the special layer, they will appear on your character. (See a thumbnail for screenshot). This blend file comes with mapped out UV areas. This makes it simply a case of importing a new TEXTURE for the player skin, and you have a new skin. You wont have to learn all about UV skinning to get your minecraft skin into blender with this model!
If you spot any texture alignment errors in this model, please let CrinkleMedia know immediately. Painstaking attention to detail has been put into this model, but sometimes mistakes will happen. This is part of the 'Crinkle's Carbon Copy Collection', a suite of models of the minecraft world re-created lovingly in blender to be just how they appear in game, and NO different! However it is increibly easy to re-skin this model (due to its complete UV map accuracy), with the texture from a different texture pack or skin in under a minute within blender, simply load in the new image file!
You are free to use this in your blender art. If using in an image, please give me Credit for this in the description of your image. If used in an animation, please give me in-video credit within an appropriate section of your video (usually opening/closing credits). To learn how to export minecraft worlds, add special effects, and model characters, check out Crinkle's youtube channel: TheChrisCrinkle.
Cinema 4D Minecraft Packs and Rigs For all you Cinema 4D users wanting to do Minecraft-stuff, here are a few packs to help you getting started. These are all free to download as well, except the paid rig at the end but there's also a free rig up for download so don't worry if you don't want to or aren't able to pay for anything. You can use these anywhere you want. Pictures, animations, avatars, wallpapers etc, but credits would obviously be appreciated as I've spend a lot of time working on these packs. To make things easier, here are links you can click to instantly scroll to whatever you wish to download: $15 (More advanced and tons of more features) (Blender, 3DS Max and Maya) I don't really know what more to put here so I'll just get right to it; Model Pack.

Download Rigs (v.1.2): How to install: 1.
Download the rigs (Steve Rig v1.2 (By WeedLion).rar) 2. Use WinRAR or another program of your choice to extract 'Steve Rig 1.2 (By WeedLion).lib4d' to C:/Program Files/MAXON/CINEMA 4D R./library/browser (If you're updating from an older version, just delete the old.lib4d file and put in the new one) 3. And that's it. If you go to your content browser in Cinema 4D it should be there ready to go. (Please give credit if you use this rig in a picture, video or anything else) READ THIS: - If you use Ambient Occlusion, make sure 'Evaluate Transparency' is checked in the Ambient Occlusion settings. Otherwise the face will turn black when using second layer. You cannot rotate bones by default because of IK chains.
If you prefer rotating bones instead of using IK, go to 'Character' on top and uncheck 'Use IK'. You can change the armor to either leather, iron, gold, chain or diamond simply by replacing 'diamond' in the texture path to whatever you want. By default it says ' preset://minecraft steve rig (by weedlion).lib4d/Armor/tex/ diamond1.png'To change to iron, simply put 'iron' where it says 'diamond', like this:' preset://minecraft steve rig (by weedlion).lib4d/Armor/tex/ iron1.png' - More notes coming later. J0rd4nkzf make a neat little thing to make the rig automatically lip sync to whatever audio you import.
Here's is post including a video showing how it works, how to do it, and a download link. V1.2 26/6/2012 - Added armor which can be enabled/disabled with User data, and user data to change to leather, gold, iron, chain or diamond.
Added 'Second layer'. With this you can have hats, hair etc. This can also be enabled/disabled with user data. 'Custom Skin' user data added as well, to make custom skins easy to apply. Changed the way arms/legs bends.
Still a WIP but looks better than the previous at least. Added color for bones. Added Poles for arms and legs. This is what you use to rotate them. Put the rigs in a single lib4d file to make things generally much easier.
Improved the Visual Selector. Colored buttons - Added poles and all bones. When clicking a button, it will automatically change to the tool used for the part. Bones = Rotate tool, IK = Move tool. Improved some other User Data. And quite a few other changes not really worth mentioning (And probably a few I forgot). V1.1 1/5/2012 - Added a new rig with eyes looking more like the default eyes.
(Made them smaller) - Added another rig without facial expressions. More Minecraft-ish textures (Eyes, Mouth, Teeth, Pupils, Hair and Skin). Control Pupil Color in User Data.
Added spacing between teeth (Slider for teeth size, and enable/disable slider). Added cubes and circles to IK chains (Easier to select without visual selector). Set the default scale from 1.0 to 0.75 to make it the right size compared to the models in the model pack. And a few other minor changes. V1.0 27/4/2012 - First release - Paid Steve Rig (Updating picture to v1.1 soon) This is another rig, but with a lot more and better features. I obviously prioritize this one over the other free rig, as well as the packs so this one will have more and better features and it's made very differently.
If you buy it, you'll get all future updates for free. They will be sent to your email as soon as they're out. Here's an outdated quick video going through some of the features for 0.9: Video going through 1.1 coming soon. THIS IS THE ONLY PLACE I SELL THE RIG. IF ANYBODY ARE TRYING TO SELL IT TO YOU OVER SKYPE IT'S SOMEONE IMPERSONATING ME OR LYING ABOUT KNOWING ME I wish I didn't have to put this message here but it's been happening quite a bit lately. Download and installation: Download (1.1): (WORKS ONLY FOR STUDIO VERSIONS) How to install: 1. Download the pack which will be sent to your email as soon as you pay for it.
Use WinRAR or another program of your choice to extract the files inside the.rar to wherever you want. The C4D files can be opened straight away while the Content browser (lib4D) file has to be put in C:/Program Files/MAXON/CINEMA 4D R./library/browser 4. Now you're done. Just open your content browser (Window Content Browser) and you'll have it there. There's also a readme.txt included, which I highly recommend reading. Changes for 1.1: - Added a lot more Face Customization, specifically eye positions, size and more eyebrow customization.
Added option to use Unibrow - Added Teeth Spacing and setting to choose the size of the teeth. Added option to disable eyes, eyebrows and mouth seperately. Complete Armor color customization for use any color you want, and a list of RGBs for Leather, Iron, Gold and Diamond. More accessories - Shoes (Extruded), Hair (Extruded), Shirt (Extruded), Hat Boole, Top Hat, Mustache, Monocle, Cane and Cape (WIP). Simple tools you can enable and disable for both hands. Click on them and use the User Data to change material.
Changed up some of the boxes and lines to select the arms and legs. Removed Visual Selector and Armor from the HUD. Added more texture accessories, but not a lot. Don't know if I'll continue this or not. Haven't really seen it being used. Arms are by default controlled with IK again.
Bones seemed to confuse some. A few other minor changes as well. Fixes: - Fixed Visual Selector and skin for Custom Skin. Fixed a lot of other minor stuff. Changes for 1.0: - Added Armor - Added a way to select main bones directly in the scene. Added option to turn off/on IK for arms and feet.
Added option to rotate the fingers. Added Visual Selector in the HUD.
Added 'Bones' in the Visual Selector to select arms/legs bones when the IKs are disabled. Changed the size of the rig to be correct (175 cm). Teeth opens as well when you use the 'Mouth Open' slider. Added Accessories (in User Data), but still a WIP. Fixes: - Fixed left middle finger pose bug. Fixed Visual Selector for Content Browser versions. Removed keyframe on right hand pole.
Fixed the 'Top back' bone. Other minor bugs. Just some random screenshots and pictures. HUD: Thanks.: - Cinema 4D Tutorials Getting Started This video will show you how to get started with Cinema 4D for all you beginners, or maybe even ones who are still trying to decide whether you're going to get Cinema 4D or not. It goes through the interface, controls, some simple tools, adding objects, using this model pack and some other various things that are pretty much required to know if you're going to be using Cinema 4D.
Installing a Lib4d file Very short video showing you how to download and install a lib4d file (Model pack in this situation). Walking for Steve Rigs This is a tutorial on how to create a very basic walking cycle. This tutorial isn't meant to show you exactly how you should do it, it's just a helping hand on getting started. What you should do, is use this is a template and then add something to your own walk that really makes it 'yours'. Also remember that the walks are always different depending on the mood of the character you're animating, so make sure you don't do the same walk all the time. Xpresso & User Data Basics Xpresso and User Data isn't required to know. It took quite a while before I decided to get into it after I started using Cinema 4D, but ever since I started using I've used it all the time.
Definitively required if you're going to make rigs or anything like that, but even if you aren't going to do that I recommend learning the basics just so you know what it's for and such in case you end up in a situation where it actually would make things a lot easier. Make your own Steve Rig (Click on annotations to go to next parts) If you ever wanna try to create your own rig, this tutorial will help you out. It isn't a very advanced rig, but it has the basic stuff such as eyes, eyebrows, mouth and teeth as well as controls for them. This consist of three parts, being all together 2 hours long. Change Default Project/Render Settings Having to change your render settings and project settings every time you open Cinema 4D can get frustrating.
Here's a simple solution to make anything your default start-up settings by simply saving a file called 'new.c4d' in a specific directory. Edit Layout This is more like a quick tip, but it shows you how to change and customize your Cinema 4D layout to whatever you prefer. The default layout is already very nice, as well as the other layouts in the layouts menu that are included, but it's always nice to be able to add buttons and such that you use a lot but are a pain to find all the time. Make Minecraft Items Now, the Item Pack do have almost all items in Minecraft, but it doesn't have any items from texture packs or anything you've made yourself, so this tutorial will show you a quick way to model any item. For more future tutorials, feel free to subscribe to. More tutorials will be posted as more are made. Downloads for Blender, 3DS Max and Maya If you don't have Cinema 4D or just prefer another program, here are a few packs and rigs made by other people for other programs.: (The following are NOT made by me) Blender: by VMComix Description: You may use the rigs in a video, just provide credit to VMComix.
By Swesen Description: Includes many animals, block, flowers, mushrooms etc. And of course Steve. The torches are functional but you must also duplicate the lamp and parent the torch if you are making a night or cave scene. If anyone know how to make the torch and the lamp the same object please tell me and I will fix it. You can use any texture pack just replace the original ones and the blocks will change. By GerladoCockerhan Description: Currently the mobs are: Steve (Steve can be retextured to a zombiePig and a zombie), A female character, a squid, a pig, an Enderman, a Creeper, a skeleton, a wolf, a Ghast, a spider(so hard to animate!
All them legs! ),a golem, a slime, a magma slime, a chicken, a villager and a Portal gun (??) by skarb 3DS Max: by theironpa Description: 3ds Max 2010 Minecraft Human model rigged v0.5 For animation and machinima Read more in the read me included in file by AnimaterCraft Description: Please give Credit when used. Minecraft 3D Essentials is a free package of models to create your own Minecraft Animations. You just need Cinema 4D (R12 or higher) or another 3D-Programm that is able to import.c4d,.3ds or.dae files. By noober62 Maya: by shroggs Description: This Character Rig is for use with autodesk MAYA, It should work with all versions of maya 8 + For optiomal rendering, please use mental ray, as it will render without filtering on the textures (And looks 100X better ) Description: Well lately i have been searching for a maya rig that i can use in an animation that i have been planning, but sadly i have not found one and that is what lead me to want to make my own. Current progress V1 This version allows you to use your minecraft skin with it by simply replacing the char.png with your own skin These are all awesome rigs and model packs put out for free by awesome people.
If you use any of them, you should give them credit whether they ask for it or not. They've spent time working on something and put it out for free for you to use. That's the least you can do back.: - Hope you enjoy both the rig and model pack and I'll make sure to keep updating these while I have the time.If you have any questions, requests or anything like that, feel free to email me at - WeedLion. Quote from I like the way you tie minecraft in real life elements and surrounding. It's very much impressive while at the same time humorous. Pretty much made a fan out of me so I'm gonna stay updated on what projects you do and will give feedback when the opportunity arises.
(makes me wish I was capable of such animations/ pictures but everyone has there talents) However, I hope to see more WeedLion Thanks a bunch. You really have no idea how much that means to me.: I'm glad you like it and it's because of people like you I keep doing it. Cake Piston (Sticky) Glass (Thin) Rail (Curved) Rail (Detector) Rail (Normal) Rail (Powered) There are some missing red parts at the sides. If you really want I can add it and include it in next version Redstone Torch It doesn't glow anything but I can add that in the next version too if it's requested. Redstone Dust Same goes with this one. No glow but can be added.
Torch This one doesn't glow either but I'll fix that for the next version. Trapdoor I will start working on the next version later today and hopefully get it out within a few days. I haven't decided much for the next version yet, but this is what I got so far: - Make redstone dust 3D (Model them) - Fix the rails (Minor placement fix to make them easier to use) - Put a bit glow on the Torch - Improve trapdoor and doors New items: Minecart Fence Fence (Nether) Flower (Cyan) That's all I got so far but I'll add more to the list as I come up with more. If there's anything you need in it just tell me and I'll add it as soon as possible.
Download link is in the first post.:. Quote from Every time I want to render i'll get this: Texture error Default.png (Default.png, C: Users Weed Lion Documents Minecraft IRL Model pack Textures Character Skins) Plz help me! Seems like I've accidentally mixed up two textures. Sorry about that. Give me a few minutes and I'll upload a new version which works and where you can use your own skins as well.: Edit: Again, I'm really sorry about that. I've re-uploaded it and replaced the link. Go to the first post and download it again (Just make sure to delete the old files).
If you have important work and don't wanna delete it from the scene to get the new file in, just open the texture (Under 'Materials'), then inside 'Material Editor' just click the '.' Button all the way to the right for 'Texture', find and open the 'char.png' included in the new download. Edit: Also do this under the 'Alpha' channel, otherwise it won't work. And thanks for using it. Quote from Everything is working now but there is one thing I don't know how to edit the mouth because now it is: how can you change this to: ) I'm glad you got it working.: There is a slider in the User data for 'Smile'. To get the User Data just click 'Steve' in the object tab and the user data should show up under 'Attributes'. Here's a screenshot to make it easier: Also, if you double click the icon in the green square you'll get the visual selector.
In case you didn't know, the visual selector lets you choose bones by clicking on the image rather than going through all the bone layers. Traktor scratch 2.1.2 crack. Been focusing on the rig for the past three hours. Here's a video showing you the User Data (Facial expressions), IK chains and the Visual selector: Also, that rig isn't very 'custom-skin'-friendly so I've uploaded another rig. It's pretty much the same rig but without facial expressions and very easy to apply custom skins. As it is now it doesn't support the parts around the head (The box around it, if that makes any sense). I tried adding it but it didn't turn out pretty good and seem to be harder than I thought but I'll do whatever I can.: Here's a quick video showing how you apply your own skins and just playing with the rig a bit.
It's very simple: Just go to the texture editor for char.png and choose whatever skin you wanna use. Quote from Thank you. One question (to everyone); should I focus on making all the models first then improve them later, or focus on making the models best and most details as I make them? If I focus on making them all first I'll obviously get all the models finished earlier but if I focus on making them as good as I can as I make them they'll look better but take a bit longer.
Auto karte europa. What do you think? Doing them one at a time as best you can would be the better option in my opinion even if it takes time. Quality is always a favorite.
. Is there something you think this rig is missing? Leave a comment below and I might add it in the next update! The rig updates is often every 1-3 months. The Download Includes 8 Files:. Textures Folder (A folder containing the textures in.png files). Changlelog.txt (A changlelog containing recent changes).
Minecraft BlocksRig.blend (A lot of blocks from minecraft). Minecraft CharacterRig.blend (A character rig). Minecraft ItemsRig.blend (A lot of Items from Minecraft). Minecraft SimpleRig.blend (simple rig that's great starting from when making a animation). New3D.blend (Blocks remade in a more 3D depth. Also blocks/items that isn't actually in Minecraft) Some Videos where this rig has been involved.
Okay, so even though I’m pretty sure this is in the FAQ, people seem to be having trouble with this, so here’s my mini-tutorial on how to get this working with 1.8 skins and how to get the hat layer working. STEP ONE: First you change the skin.
I’m not going into detail into how to do this. Even though it starts off by looking weird, change the skin to your 1.8 skin. STEP TWO: On the left-hand side, go to the “Object data” tab. The icon looks like this:. Right click the body mesh. Scroll down to UV Maps (you might have to click the little arrow next to it).
Sixpence none the richer divine discontent rapidshare. In fall 2002, Sixpence None the Richer returned to form with the lushly beautiful Divine Discontent. The new millennium looked bright as the band weathered the departure of founding drummer Dale Baker (replaced in 2001 by Rob Mitchell) and inked a new record deal with Reprise.
Then click the little camera next to “+1.8 Skin”. Repeat this step but rather than selecting the body mesh, click the head mesh. STEP THREE: Back on the actual rig, under design, move the Hat Driver so it’s on the higher side. Then repeat step two while the hat mesh is selected.
STEP FOUR: Profit. Before all of you go and say the Mods part of the rig pack itself is small, please be courteous and understand that me and Rymdnisse will finish the Aether off ASAP, Original and Genesis of the Void, and we will also be doing a ton of other mods as well, including Advent of Ascension, Orespawn, Tropicraft, Twilight Forest, and Thaumcraft. I am also working hard, as I have been for the past 3 days, trying to complete the items and blocks for the Aether mod, and I will get to do some solo work on many non-mob mods that are there for details, such as TConstruct, Pam’s HarvestCraft, CustomNPCs, Chisel, Chisel2, 10Pak’s Plants Mega Pack, ect. I might just be repeating myself, but I like to make sure I send a clean message: Rymdnisse is working his hardest, and currently I’ve halted everything else and probably won’t be doing anything but trying to bring an absolutely massive update to the Rymdnisse Rig Pack for V2.9. I was wondering about what will be after the Aether mod for the MinecraftModsRig.Blend Since I have a whole lotta experience with going out of bounds of the original Minecraft theme (Creepers, Zombies, Skeletons, Steve, Ect.) and making Custom and Modded rigs, I began laying my eyes on a new mod: The Advent of Ascension mod by Xolova B., which adds over 300+ Mobs, 20+ Bosses, and over 500+ Blocks/Items.
There are over 20+ Dimensions in the mod as well, and as a perfectionist, I began working on the project solo, and as of today I have more than 15 Mobs rigged out and in my mobs folder, but once we are up-to-date with the Aether mod, there’s no doubt that the Advent of Ascension mod will make its way into production for the future Rymdnisse Rig Versions. As for the Aether mod rigs, with Rymdnisse being in College and with the crapload of content needed to be made, I’ve taken it upon myself to handle 90% of the production with Rymdnisse’s Mod Minecraft rig, since I understand that College years are tough times and you barely have little to no free time during those years Me being a highschool dropout, I have plenty of time on my hands and all I need to do is mimic Rymdnisse’s style and help him out. It probably won’t be that hard, but I don’t want to jinx it quite yet.
Glad you love the modded blocks m8. Hey ? I saw the trailer of warlords and it was really impressive! I thought the best thing is that they have custom items and helmets and so on ? Now i am using this rig to create a minecraft animation and i would like to create custom models as well!
I played around a little bit with the remesh modifier and this works pretty well ? but there is one problem: I cant get the textures on the helmet i created, because it is a 2d texture and i want only 1 pixel every face:S Thats why i am asking you ? How can i apply a texture on a remesh-pixelated-mesh so that there is 1 pixel every face? I think i have a partial answer to this problem. After you’ve got your skin on (with the mesh still selected) go to Data (the triangle to the left of Material) and look for where it says UV Maps (start looking from bottom to top) there should be 2 things there Old-1.8 Skin and +1.8 Skin. To the right of both of these there’s a small camera click the camera fore +1.8 Skin (select +1.8 Skin also so you can see the difference in Texture view the camera is the one render will you’s) this will make the skin work on the body but you will probably need to do repeat this for the head. I tried doing the same thing for the 2nd layer but when i did the skin was empty where there should be texture and it was black where there should be nothing i kinda fixed it by going in Materials and at the top were it says Data (confusing i know) to the left of that there should be a thing which says Hat (click the arrows next to it) change Hat to skin. And now all the correct skin textures are on the 2nd layer but its still black everywhere it should be transparent if anyone can fix it completely then go buy an Ice cream you earned it!
Then please tell us how you did it =).
